My name is Juan Carlos Martinez, and I have been a follower of my Lord and Savoir Jesus Christ since early 2021. I created ElTrueDinero because I believe many people are beginning to realize that the world's financial system is changing rapidly. Inflation, debt, economic instability, and uncertainty are affecting families, businesses, and churches around the world. Yet throughout history, one truth has remained consistent: societies rise and fall, currencies come and go, but real value endures.
For thousands of years, Gold and Silver have served as honest money, stores of value, and symbols of wealth, stability, and stewardship. Even in Scripture, Gold and Silver are mentioned hundreds of times throughout the Bible-beginning in Genesis itself-revealing their historical and biblical significance across generations.
My passion for studying monetary history, world empires, economics, and Biblical principles led me to build ElTrueDinero as a place where people can learn, grow, and prepare wisely for the future. I believe financial education is more important now than ever before, especially for families, leaders, and believers seeking wisdom during changing times.
Growing up in a middle-class Mexican American family in Texas, I watched my father work two sometimes three jobs at a time to provide for my mother, my two younger brothers, and me. For many years, I believed money was simply something earned through long hours of hard work-only to be spent on necessities, bills, and the temporary comforts that made life feel rewarding.
As time went on, however, I came to understand an important distinction: what most of us work for every day is not truly money in its original form, but fiat currency-backed by trust rather than tangible value. That realization completely changed the way I viewed wealth, financial security, and the importance of understanding real money.
As Mike Maloney often explains, there is a major difference between currency and real money.
My goal is not simply to discuss finance, but to help people think differently about money, value, stewardship, and long-term security. I believe wisdom comes from studying history, understanding scripture, and preparing responsibly for the future.
I am especially passionate about helping church leaders, families, and everyday individuals understand the importance of protecting what they have worked hard to build. In times of uncertainty; wisdom, preparation, and discernment matter more than ever.
